Laurie Connell is an Australian entrepreneur and a prominent figure in Western Australia. His connections ranged from Alan Bond to the political authorities of Western Australia. “In the year 1994, Connell was jailed for conspiring to pervert the course of justice by paying a jockey to leave the country but was sentenced to five years in prison” .He was later suspected for injection of etrophine to his horse which won by nine lengths. He later died in the year 1996.
