The State of Utah does not enclose legislation presently in force connecting to unwanted bulk or commercial e-mail. A rule passed in the year 2002 in the month of March and revoked effectual in the year 2004 in the month of May applied to unwelcome commercial e-mail and unwanted sexually unambiguous e-mail send all the way through a source in Utah or to a inhabitant of Utah. Such mail were requisite to reveal the dispatcher name and address, and the point of derivation of the memo; and had to comprise a tag ("ADV:" or "ADV: ADULT") at the opening of the topic line, all along with avoiding instructions. The law also debarred the falsification of map-reading information in such messages.
