During the year 1999 in the month of June Oklahoma bylaw got approved and amended in April 2003 makes it against the law to send an e-mail message that contains fake or missing routing information, or to allocate software designed to forge such information. Unsolicited commercial e-mail messages have to comprise a tag ("ADV:" or "ADV-ADULT :") at the opening of the subject matter line, and be required to enclose opt-out directions. Such mail may not hold a fake or deceptive subject line, nor use a third party's Internet address or domain name in order to classify to create it appear that the third party sent the message.
