An Arizona law passed in May 2003 which necessitated that unwanted commercial e-mail messages must comprise a label ("ADV :") at the beginning of the topic line, and hold an opt-out means. Such messages might not have fallacious map-reading information. The law forbids fake or deceptive subject lines in all business e-mail, and forbids making use of a third party's Internet address or domain name without his permission sequentially to make it come into view that the third party sent that particular message. The law be appropriate if a message is sent from Arizona or if the receivers service source is based in or has equipment in Arizona, or if the correspondent be familiar with or has reason to make out that the receiver is an Arizona citizen. |
