Reports :

I am writing this report to share my experience with a man who introduced himself online as Michael Akintola Bhangarlee. I decided to document what happened so that others may be aware of the warning signs and avoid becoming victims of a similar situation.

I first encountered this person through an online platform where he presented himself as friendly, polite, and trustworthy. His profile included photos of a young man wearing a black shirt and appearing relaxed in a home setting. At first glance, the profile seemed completely normal and did not immediately raise any concerns. He began communicating with me in a respectful and friendly manner, which made it easy to believe that he was a genuine person looking for conversation.

After the first few messages, the communication quickly became more frequent. He would send messages daily and often tried to build a personal connection very quickly. He asked about my life, my family, and my interests. At the same time, he shared stories about himself and tried to create the impression that he was honest and trustworthy. Over time, the conversations became more emotional and personal.

However, as time passed, I began to notice several warning signs that made me uncomfortable. Some of the information he shared about himself did not seem consistent. When I asked specific questions about his work or location, the answers were often vague or changed slightly. In addition, he avoided certain requests such as video calls or verifying his identity.

Eventually, the conversation began to shift toward financial problems and personal emergencies. He explained that he was experiencing difficulties and that he needed help to resolve certain urgent issues. The requests for assistance appeared suddenly and were presented as very urgent. This type of situation is commonly reported in online fraud cases where scammers attempt to gain a victim's trust before asking for money or financial support.

At this point I became suspicious and started researching online scams. I discovered that many scammers operate in a similar way: they create emotional relationships online, communicate frequently, and then introduce financial problems that require immediate help. This pattern matched the situation I was experiencing.

Because of these concerns, I stopped communicating with the person and decided to report the experience so that others could be warned. I cannot confirm the true identity of the individual behind the profile, and it is possible that the photos used may belong to someone else. Online scammers often use stolen or fake images to create believable identities.

My goal in sharing this report is simply to raise awareness. Anyone communicating with someone online who quickly becomes emotionally involved, refuses video verification, and begins requesting financial help should proceed with extreme caution. These are common warning signs of online romance or financial scams.

I hope that by sharing my experience, others will recognize similar red flags earlier and protect themselves from emotional stress and financial loss.
