Reports :
I am sharing my experience to warn others about a man who contacted me on the dating website 60sLove. His profile name on the site was "Harry 64." At first, he appeared to be a genuine and friendly person looking for a relationship. His profile photos showed a mature man who looked trustworthy and kind, which made the profile seem legitimate.
Our conversation began normally through the dating site's messaging system. He introduced himself as Harry and later told me that his full name was Harry Ncolescu. After a short time of chatting on the platform, he suggested that we move the conversation to WhatsApp because he said it was easier and more convenient for him to communicate there. At that time, I didn't think much about it and agreed.
Once we started talking on WhatsApp, the communication became very frequent. He sent messages every day and seemed very interested in my life. He asked personal questions about my family, my hobbies, and my past relationships. He also told me stories about his own life in order to build trust and create an emotional connection.
During our conversations, we even had phone calls and what appeared to be a video call. At the time, this made me feel more confident that he was real. However, later I realized that the video call did not seem natural. The movements and timing seemed strange, and it became clear that the video might have been pre-recorded or manipulated in some way. Unfortunately, I only realized this after spending more time communicating with him.
As our conversations continued, I started noticing several things that did not seem right. Some details about his life changed slightly when he told the story again. Certain questions about his location or work were answered very vaguely. These inconsistencies slowly made me suspicious.
I eventually decided to do some research about online dating scams and discovered that scammers often use stolen photographs and fake names to create convincing dating profiles. They also try to move conversations away from dating platforms quickly and onto private messaging apps like WhatsApp. This pattern matched exactly what had happened in my situation.
Looking back, I now believe that the photos used in the profile were likely stolen from someone else. The person I was speaking to may not be the same person shown in the pictures. Scammers often use attractive or trustworthy-looking images taken from other people's social media profiles to deceive victims.
I decided to stop all communication and block the number. I am sharing this report to ask if anyone else has encountered a similar profile using the name "Harry," "Harry 64," or "Harry Ncolescu." It is also possible that the same person may be operating on other dating websites using different names and photos.
If anyone else has seen this profile or had a similar experience, I strongly recommend reporting it to the dating platform and being extremely cautious. Sharing experiences like this can help protect others from falling victim to the same type of online deception.
