Met on Senior People meet. He started emailing me. Claimed we couldn't meet in person since he was leaving for a final job before he retired. Supposed to be working on a mall renovation in Abu Dhabi. Within a week or so was talking about getting married. Claimed to be born in Dublin Ireland, widowed for 7 years, one son. Claimed he lost his wife to breast cancer. Avoided questions regarding middle name, where he lived, etc.

He asked me to buy him a Vanilla gift card from Walmart to buy some software that none of the stores were selling and for me to send him the card numbers, exp date, and ccv. I shut him down instantly by sending him some other reports about him that I found on the net. He wrote back and asked where I got the information. I didn't respond. July 18 seems to be his favorite birthdate - the year changes with each scam. We never met in person or even talked on the phone.
