I am writing this report to explain a celebrity impersonation romance scam. A fake social media profile using the name Jason Momoa posted a romantic message claiming to be sad, confused, and blocked by fans. The message asked people who still love him to click a Telegram link and message him privately for a discussion. This is a common celebrity impersonation scam where scammers use the name and photo of a famous person to attract victims, build emotional trust, and move the conversation to Telegram or another private messaging app. Once contact is made, the scammer may ask for money, gift cards, travel fees, fan membership payments, personal details, or account verification help. The real celebrity should not be treated as the scammer because the name and image are being used by a fake profile. Users should avoid clicking unknown Telegram links, should not send money to celebrity profiles, and should report the fake account to the social media platform.
