REPORT N1 (added on October, 7, 2022)
Barbara (USA)
Send a friend request to my Facebook then asked to go to hangouts . After a couple of weeks of chatting asked me to marry him and he was so in love. Then asked to send money for sick sons leg operation I said no. Then few weeks passed and he asked me to send money for him to come and marry me. He said he had no access to his funds in Syria. Then he sent me fake documents to send a request to the UN in Alabama to request he come home to get married or retire. Got a fake document asking me to send $1200 dollars for a plane ticket to from UN address with misspelled words. I said no again then he got angry with me. I told him he probably was a scammer and he quickly closed his hangout account.
RipandScam has been fighting scam for over 15 years, saving millions of dollars for potential victims from scammers. However, the economic model of the anti-scam industry has been severely disrupted by large corporations, leaving us struggling to survive and even maintain our website. While dedicated anti-scam websites like RipandScam are fighting to stay operational, scammers continue to defraud people of millions.
