I met him on sugar sugar. Started out saying he wanted to buy me a car, wanted me to pick out a car and send him a link to what he should buy me. Was willing to spend 15k for a car. I did not take him seriously though sent him a couple links. We continued talking; he said he would pay for my trip to my son’s wedding in June. Suddenly one of his workers in Ghana was injured on the job and needed $500 so doctors would look at him. I sent the $500 with the understanding he would repay me. Gave him my checking account info for his banker to deposit funds in so I could send it to his workers. No deposit was made but a check for nearly $2000 was written on my account. I caught it the same day it appeared on my account. Asked John about it, said why he would do such a low thing. Asked him to money gram the $500 to me. I have not heard from him since.
