Albert Cole from Frederick, MD, who I was matched with in early March has now reached out to me asking for a loan. We have texted and emailed each other and had a few phone conversations, but we never met before. He spoke with an accent, but said thats because he was raised overseas. Currently, he said hevwas a petroleum engineer. He wrote me beautiful emails in which he professed to love me. When we were planning to meet, he suddenly had to go away on a business trip to UAE. When I said I don't have money to lend, he said he wanted a company that owes him money to wire $15k into my account and I should send him that money. This is not the same as check writing fraud so I thought maybe it was ok to do. But I contacted check fraud officials here in Maryland first about the risk and they recommended I don't allow it because it requires me to give him my account number and routing number.
