Scam Report

I am writing this report to explain a WhatsApp friend impersonation money scam. A WhatsApp business account using the reported alias Juju and the phone number +232 99 301605 contacted the victim with a simple greeting and pretended to be someone familiar. The victim first believed the message may have come from a known friend, but became suspicious when the account asked for urgent financial help. The scammer requested cash and tried to pressure the victim by saying, “Don’t u believe me.” When the victim asked for a video call to verify the person’s face, the scammer avoided proper verification and continued asking for money. This is a common friend impersonation scam where scammers use a familiar name to create trust and urgency before asking for money. The real person named Juju should not be treated as the scammer because the name may have been copied. Users should always verify through a known phone number before sending money.
