Wu Ying is a former Chinese Entrepreneur and ‘the sixth richest woman’ on China for the year 2006. She was convicted for illegal fundraising and frauds in 2007. She was sentenced to death at first but this ruling was criticized by the Chinese media for it's harsh judgment on a private citizen. Her judgment was revised again and her sentence was reduced to 25 years in 2018.
