letterI was approached by this scammer through Chemistry. We communicated for approximately 1 week. He claimed to be the president of an international construction company and the owner of a jewelry store in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He claimed to have to go and supervise the start up of a shopping center in Accra, Ghana for a period of 2 weeks after which he would be returning to Santa Monica, CA. While there he claimed to come across an opportunity to buy gold for a lower price than market and paid $200,000. He claimed he could not cash a check he received for $1.2 million and asked me if I could help him.
