I discovered your great website searching Google for the City of Omsk Russia to see where this woman was from. She wrote to me on the website www.marriedcafe.com in early January 2006 and soon after that I was contacted by another person from Russia but with, as you warn, too perfect English. I am a single male from the United States, far more youthful looking than my age and would like to think I have some common sense not to fall for anyone scamming out in the real world. I am eternally grateful to the information included in your website and also, highly recommend your Anti-Scammers Guide as a supplement. The people involved in this activity are very clever in deceiving and do prey upon the male psychology. The information below is my experience with a person calling herself Anna Tarasova and claiming to be from Omsk , Russia but her personal ad on Married Cafe listed a location of the New York City area. She initiated contact with me, first RED FLAG, and then like you mentioned in your guide and on your website, a classic textbook case of a Visa scam- falling in love with me within a few letters, never quite answering any questions asked , or if so they appeared to be added. Some letters were not prewritten though and they were the ones most believable to me.

The money came up from her in the eighth letter and again in about her 20th letter. Both times she asked for $400, but the second time she mentioned how her girlfriend worked at a travel agency and for that sum her girlfriend would arrange for all necessary documents for her visit. She also did not include any bank information in her second request. She also never included a postal address until April 2006 and stated she had no home phone to use.

I feel I should add that even after refusing to send money she continued to write to me and it was not until recently when I asked about her Internet access costs that she has not replied. She also never once let up on her feelings for me even though I mentioned my recent loss of my fiancé to breast cancer. Please add to your list in case someone else is out there communicating with the same person.

The letters below are in chronological order ( I numbered them but please keep in mind this is not all of the letter she sent. The last two came recently in April 20006 and she wrote about 28 letters total.) and I have included several pictures, though unfortunately, they are not in chronological order. They are of the same person though.

I want to tell to you a little about myself. My name is Anna, I from Russia. My age - 27 years, I was born March, 17, 1978. I live in Omsk area, city of Omsk. Person lives in our city of 1600 thousand, Omsk - capital of our area. From Omsk up to Moscow - 2555 kilometers. I have grown and studied in this city.
I have received the higher education in "OGIS" is a university. My education - the teacher. From the early childhood I was engaged in gymnastics and very much loved sports, therefore, now I work as the trainer on sports gymnastics in Federation of dancing sports of Omsk area. I very much like my work because people which conduct a healthy way of life here go. I do not smoke, I do not drink, and never tried drugs.
I think, that his health the first of what the person should care is. My growth - 167 centimeters, my weight - 54 kgs. I live in an apartment with my parents. My mum call Svetlana, she works the tailor at factory on manufacture of fabrics. My father - Nikolai - temporarily jobless, he many drink and have dismissed him. In the first - I want to leave Russia because here there are not enough opportunities here again there is much, that horrifies me - terrorism, murder of children, slavery of people, racism and many other things, that does not give the person quietly to live, sometimes even it becomes terrible to leave on street.
In the second - that for me is too very important. At me is cousin, her name is - Alexandra, she has got acquainted with Jon is her husband. Jon from England, lives in surburbs of London. She has got acquainted with him through the Internet. Alexandra has left to him, now she is very happy, she writes to me in the Internet - cafe. She has advised me to get acquainted with the man in the Internet. I want to trust, that I too shall find such person, as well as mine cousin. Probably, this person - you? Unfortunately, it is time to me to go. I not have had time to write all about myself and in the following letter I shall write to you.
