Submit Any Scam

Description :

This company is using a fake website. The address doesn't exist(I drove to the address), the services they claim they do, they didn't do. The seems to be a “Bait and Switch” scheme. We never received an invoice or any documentation of services rendered and the google search results showed the fake address and fake pictures. I suspect the the reviews are fake also(There are no techs named Jonathan, Axel or Eddie). The check was made out to Duct Duct Cleaning, but they claim to be True Gold. The tech, Yeniv didn't clean the fireplace chimney and appeared to clean only half of the pellet stove chimney which resulted in a clog and an error status on our pellet stove. Additionally, he showed up in an unmarked van from New Jersey, which is strange since they claim to be in Pennsburg, PA. We called them several times on Mar 29th and was told someone would call back. We didn't hear from anyone until late Sunday the 30th when the "owner" Nabul called. The "owner" fought me the whole conversation and said that they only clean from the top down(outside), but their website clearly says that they clean from the inside also, which they didn't. He was primarily only interested in the check we sent. He finally agreed to have someone return and said the soonest they could return was Apr 2 and he would call Apr 1st to confirm. I suspected that he was pushing us off until the check cleared. As I was very suspicious during that call I told him that I will put a "hold" on the check until they return and completed the job correctly. The tech Yeniv called soon after and the very first thing he said was "why did I cancel the check" instead of asking what the issue was. Another red flag! I explained to him that the check was on hold. He said he wouldn't get paid and asked if I could send him $200. After that, they never called or returned again. This "company" is using a website with almost "too good to be true" services and reviews, but then are not providing anything close to what they claim they provide.
