Employment Scam Report
Description :
The initial email I received mentioned that the role is work-from-home, with a salary of $3,500 per month plus a $40 bonus per package. They claimed that average monthly earnings could be around $5,100. They also said that prior experience or relocation wasn’t necessary. After expressing interest, they sent a link to a video explaining the job, which led me to a rather nice-looking website to be honest.During a phone call, I was told the company is based in Kentucky, but when I asked about its origins, I had to press for more information before they specified it’s from the Netherlands. The job would involve handling and checking only 10-15 packages a week. They also sent me a contract that requests my name, address, email, phone number, a picture of me, and a copy of my driver’s license. Yet the contract looks so legit to me!
The $40 bonus per package seems unusually high as well as the pay, and the request for such personal details scares me. They also enticed me with a 200-dollar bonus if I sign the contract before hanging up the phone, which I obviously declined, afterwards they told me I still had 100 dollars to earn if I sign it today. They also stated due to many people claiming their first paycheck and then stealing that they now hold paychecks until after the 30-day mark, which also concerns me.
