The message also repeats the same number as the Apple Security Assist team contact and claims it is an automated Apple notification. The report notes that the link leads to xHamster, an adult website, which is a major warning sign and may be used to shock, embarrass, or pressure victims into acting quickly. This type of scam is designed to make victims believe their Apple ID, Apple Pay account, or device security has been compromised. Once the victim calls 888-341-6091, the scammer may pretend to be Apple Support, Apple Security, billing support, or a refund specialist. They may ask for Apple ID login details, passwords, credit card numbers, banking information, gift card codes, verification codes, or remote access to the victim?s device.
