A phone number reported as (820) 235-7899 has been connected with a suspected Apple alert scam, Apple Pay refund scam, unauthorized transaction scam, payment verification scam, and phishing attempt. The fake alert lists verification ID 3916825-XLTM and says that if the transaction was authorized, no action is required, but if it was unauthorized, the recipient should contact Apple Support immediately at +1 820 235 7899. It also repeats the same number for billing assistance and signs the message as the Apple Payment Security Team. This type of scam is designed to frighten victims into believing that their Apple Pay account, Apple ID, or payment method has been compromised. Scammers use official-sounding security language, location details, device recognition warnings, verification IDs, and urgent support instructions to make the message appear legitimate.
