The fake message claimed the victim had won $25 million, $5,000 weekly for life, and a brand new 2026 Ford Bronco. It also claimed that arrangements had already been made to deliver the prize and that the funds were being held at Bank of America. The caller then used secrecy language, saying federal law required the prize information to remain strictly confidential from third parties, and directed all questions to an account manager at 786-504-1272. This type of scam is designed to make victims believe they have won a major cash prize and vehicle, while isolating them from family, banks, or authorities who might warn them. Once the victim calls, the scammer may request taxes, insurance fees, delivery fees, registration charges, banking information, identification documents, or payment through gift cards, wire transfers, cryptocurrency, or prepaid cards. Warning signs include unexpected prize calls, fake claims departments, secrecy instructions, huge prize promises, and upfront payment requests.
