Scam Report:I am in the U.S. and about one month ago before I found this site, I was woken up with a text from this Eric Mensah. He said that he saw my photo on my gmail and just had to have me. He said he was a surgeon and is 58 years old and has two children and that his wife had died about three years ago from breast cancer. I asked him where and how did he get my phone number well, he tried to get me off track by saying he didn't want to die in Ghana. He said it over and over and then switch back to how pretty I was. I wasn't buying any of it. It didn't seem right. Because I did study psychology some years ago this was a red flag and I wanted information from this scammer. I played along for a little bit to just make sure if he was for real. I finally got him to tell me how he had gotten my phone number. He said it was on my Gmail. I never, ever put my phone number on my Gmail! I knew now he is lying to me.
RipandScam has been fighting scam for over 15 years, saving millions of dollars for potential victims from scammers. However, the economic model of the anti-scam industry has been severely disrupted by large corporations, leaving us struggling to survive and even maintain our website. While dedicated anti-scam websites like RipandScam are fighting to stay operational, scammers continue to defraud people of millions.
