I'm reporting this scammer for catfishing and finding new victims to get your money:

This is another typical romance scammer that is utilizing the same poor grammar and other sob stories. The photos appear too good to be true. Notice that there was no mention of a private email to send correspondence. Also, these romance scams are adding the element of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is running rampant with these scams.

This lady contacted me in the end of November, telling me: "I am looking for man with whom I can share in my life, my experiences." Just after a few email exchanges she declared her love for me and decided to meet me in my country. The total costs for the travel were a big surprise for her: "Where can I get 550 dollars ??? I have exhausted all my possibilities". She did not of course want to ask me directly: "But I don't know how to ask you to help. Since I am very uncomfortable and a little ashamed, I have always achieved everything in life myself and always tried to help others. But now I need help. If you cannot help me, I don't know how to be."

Elena contacted me and said she was a Laboratory Doctor. We corresponded and she wanted to come to Canada to work here full time as the pay in Russia is so poor. I advised how she could make these arrangements and told her she needed an International Passport, not a Russian one and she needed an Immigration Visa not a Tourist Visa. The border is closed to tourists because of COVID but not to Immigrants.

She advised me the cost would be $2,500 US. She said she didn't have enough money and had gone to the bank and been turned down. Then she advised she needed another $1230 US because Russian Customs wanted her to have $41 US in cash in her pocket to come to Canada for 30 days. The one big Red Flag was I asked 25 questions over an extended period and never got an answer to one question. I then asked why Russian Customs would be involved. It is only when you enter a country that Customs should be involved. I then asked why Russian Customs would want you to carry US Dollars when our currency is Cdn. Dollars. I then asked why would Russian Customs want you to carry cash which can be unsafe and retail businesses in Canada are not accepting cash because of COVID. I then asked, why $41 US a day to stay in Canada for 30 days when you are Immigrating here to stay with me and if you are going to stay in a hotel, your cost is $200. Cdn per day for meals, hotel ,cabs, etc. Finally I asked to see a copy of her International Passport and Immigration Visa and never heard another word. I was surprised a 42 year old Doctor who owns an apartment and a car doesn't have $2500 for a vacation.
