I met this woman online in August 2022 through a dating platform. She told me that she was originally from Nikolaev, Ukraine, but had been forced to relocate to Uzhhorod because of the ongoing war. At the beginning, our communication seemed genuine and sincere. We spoke regularly, and she shared personal details about her life and the challenges she was facing as a result of the conflict. Over time, she began asking for financial assistance, explaining that she needed help paying for rent and basic living expenses after her relocation.

To confirm that the relationship was real, we arranged to meet in person. I first met her in Kosice, Slovakia, and later traveled to Uzhhorod to see her again. During these meetings, she appeared genuine, serious, and affectionate, which strengthened my trust in her. As our relationship progressed, my feelings deepened, and in 2024 I proposed marriage. She accepted my proposal, which made me believe we had a real future together.

However, whenever we tried to make concrete plans for the marriage, unexpected obstacles always seemed to arise that prevented us from moving forward. Throughout the relationship, she continued to ask for financial help for various reasons. In total, I sent her approximately $30,000 USD. She has an 18-year-old daughter named Oksana and a cousin named Yulia, whom I now suspect may have also been involved in the situation.
