Salvatore Cacciola is a prominent banker and the owner of Banco Marka which went bankrupt in the year 1999 due to his fraudulent activities towards the economic system of Brazil. “In 1998, Cacciola, wanting to save his bank from financial crisis, partnered himself with his childhood friend who is the director of Central Bank of Brazil. Both committed embezzlement and frauds together”. He was convicted in the year 2000; and in the year 2005, he was sentenced to thirteen years in prison.
