Leander Tomarkin is not exactly a fraudster but an imposter who claims a doctorate in medicine. He learned laboratory chemistry from his father who is a well renowned doctor.“ He impersonated him as a medicine maker and even claimed to have invented a miracle medicine to cure typhus, malaria, tuberculosis and meningitis”.

He cured the cousin of the king Victor Emmanuel in Italy and got appointed as his personal physician. He then climbed up in the society by building laboratories all over Europe and in some parts of America. He held conferences on medicine during the year 1930 to 1939, for which he convinced people that Einstein was his patron. The development of modern medicine ended his Tomarkin anti-microbum medicine in the late 1950s.
