Chia Teck Leng is a Singaporean fraudster ‘who defrauded $117 million from major foreign banks for his lavish lifestyle and gambling. Chia was the worst commercial fraud in Singapore with his hundred million dollar embezzlement’. He was a gambling addict and a cunning accountant.

He planned his way for an easy wealth by defrauding various banks and forging his passports. He was convicted in 2004 for 46 criminal fraud charges and was sentenced to 42 years in prison. He evaded life imprisonment by pleading guilty but still 42 years was the highest written prison sentence by the Singapore court.
