Edward Davenport

Edward Davenport is an English fraudster. Davenport was the creator of the famous and controversial gatecrasher balls which satisfied the lusty and wealthy teenagers of England during late 1980s. He rose to the top of the society with the ransom money he made with the balls and his conviction of tax frauds in the year 1990. After that, he took up another wealthy career as property developer where he bought broken properties and sold them after refurbishing it.

He became the talk of the town when he acquired the former high commission building in Sierra Leone in London during the civil war. He later opened financial and investments company with the promise of huge loans for business developments. He charged higher rates for advance fees than other companies and never lent any money to the businesses. “Davenport was convicted of advance fee fraud in the year 2011 and was sentenced to 8 years in prison with his accomplice and was charged restitution fee in millions”.
