It also falsely warns that post-transaction dispute options will be permanently disabled if no action is taken. The message tells the recipient to call a 24/7 fraud desk immediately at +1 (888) 756-6838 and includes a real-looking Apple billing support link to make the alert appear legitimate. This type of scam is designed to frighten victims into believing their Apple Pay account or Apple ID is compromised. Once the victim calls 888-756-6838, the scammer may pretend to be Apple Support, Apple Pay fraud support, billing support, or an account security agent. They may ask for Apple ID login details, passwords, credit card numbers, banking information, gift card codes, one-time verification codes, or remote access to the victim?s device.
