A phone number reported as 813-934-5122 has been connected with a suspected PayPal scam, Bitcoin invoice scam, refund scam, fake payment alert scam, and SMS phishing attempt. The report states that the victim received a text message about a $499 Bitcoin charge on their ?PayPal account,? followed by a separate text telling them to call the number. The screenshot shows a PayPal-style invoice claiming ?Here?s your invoice? and saying the invoice had been paid for Bitcoin. It warns that $499.99 will be taken out of the account by today and instructs the recipient to call the PayPal service desk at +1 813 934 5122 to modify or cancel the order. The fake invoice also shows an amount debited of $499.99, date June 29, 2026, and a description referring to PayPal Credit and an internal wallet transfer to a personal account. This type of scam is designed to make victims believe a cryptocurrency purchase or wallet transfer has been placed through PayPal without authorization. Scammers use fake PayPal branding, Bitcoin wording, invoice details, urgent cancellation language, and callback numbers to pressure victims into calling quickly. Once the victim calls 813-934-5122, the scammer may pretend to be PayPal support, crypto billing support, a fraud department agent, or a refund specialist. They may ask for PayPal login details, banking information, credit card numbers, passwords, verification codes, crypto wallet details, or remote access to the victim?s device.
