A phone number reported as (805) 843-0648 has been connected with a suspected PayPal scam, BTC charge scam, Payoneer payment request scam, refund scam, and phishing attempt. The message says there was a PayPal BTC charge of $674.59 linked to the recipient?s account and warns that if it was unauthorized, the recipient should contact PayPal Support immediately at +1 (805) 843-0648. It also claims that otherwise the charge will be automatically deducted from the recipient?s bank account. The payment request lists a due date of 6/29/2026, payment request ID 16303059, and says paying with Payoneer is easy and secure. It also provides the email address tekombeer536@outlook.com for questions about the payment request. This type of scam is designed to make victims believe that a PayPal Bitcoin transaction or bank deduction is pending and must be cancelled quickly. Scammers use fake payment requests, crypto wording, high dollar amounts, personal names, payment IDs, and urgent support numbers to pressure victims into calling. Once the victim calls 805-843-0648, the scammer may pretend to be PayPal support, Payoneer support, crypto billing support, or a refund department agent. They may ask for PayPal login details, banking information, credit card numbers, passwords, verification codes, or remote access to the victim?s device.
