The fake notice lists order ID Inv-2898937, customer support number +1 (803) 830-4876, Bitcoin purchased amount of $560.00 USD, quantity 0.0096, total amount $560.00 USD, and says the payment was debited via ?Car.? The message tells the recipient to check their crypto wallet and says that if they did not receive the Bitcoin or want to cancel the transaction, they should call the support team at +1 (803) 830-4876. This type of scam is designed to make victims believe that a PayPal Bitcoin purchase or crypto transaction has already been charged to their account. Scammers use fake invoice alerts, order IDs, cryptocurrency amounts, PayPal branding, and urgent support numbers to pressure victims into calling quickly. Once the victim calls 803-830-4876, the scammer may pretend to be PayPal support, crypto billing support, a refund department agent, or a fraud protection specialist.
