His age was different. He was 47 for me. He says he lives in Albany, NY. His dog's name is Bella and his estranged ex-wife has the other dog called Betty.
His best friend's name is Matty who claims to have recently had a surgery for brain tumour. His only friend. He is supposedly a controls engineer, a private contractor and recently doing work in an oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico. As he is stuck out there remotely, he doesn't have access to his phone and Matty is the only friend that is his connection to outside.
He started with a sum of c. US$3000 or so and went up to US$12,000 (which rang alarm bells for me) and I've stopped contact. He asks you to access his internet banking to transfer money - so you can see he has a lot of money and also gets you to trust him as he's trusting you with his bank access. Some transfers go through but then something happens that freezes his account but he needs to pay someone which then asks you for help.
His mum passed away (Danish). He supposedly grew up with her in Denmark after his dad left them. His dad is in the US and is in a home. He doesn't get along with his step siblings. He has a Danish accent but I can't tell if his accent is Danish or another kind.
He is a charmer, knows what to say, acts like he is very emotional. I can't believe I got so sucked into his game. Feeling very foolish. A few weeks ago, I doubted him and called him out, but for some reason (as he's so good at this), I gave him the benefit of the doubt. But when he had some story about another trouble he was in and needed my help, that's when I knew this was all a game.
