Reports :

I met him on Match last October where he presented as an Italian man living in Patchogue, NY and graduating from The University of Turin in Italy as chemical engineer. Within 48 hours he claimed that his account had been hacked & was taken down. He also claimed that he was leaving for Malaysia in two week for a project on a rig that he had paid for by selling his Mother's horse ranch and depleting his own funds. We continued communications over the next 4-5 weeks when he was to return and had professed love for me very quickly. He is charming and attentive and funny. He sent me his trip itinerary. A few hours before he was to land in Atlanta he emailed that he had been stopped at the airport and was being detained to pay taxes on the 2.8 million dollar bank draft. As he could not he was being kept there. This continued for 3 months where additional dramas befell him, such as not eating, being served an eviction notice by his NY landlord, needing emergency surgery. He also claimed that his bank draft had been used to arrange an account in a Cyprus bank in order to avoid further taxes, and the account was in my name. I was provided the account information, an account manager and login capability. I was told I could access the funds to pay his Malaysian taxes. There was always something else that arose that prevented this: being required to send $5000 to set up the account, and then a 1% tax to Cyprus as a non-resident. None of my internet searches beginning on Oct., 2016 until March, 2017 never surfaced anything negative about Steve Pieters until 3/4/2017 when I found another victim who had tied his Gerrard Han Ulrich identity with his Steve Pieters identity and there were his images and similar stories. I confronted him with this evidence which he denied and used a guilt approach. Once I told him I was no longer sending money, he disappeared. Please stay away from this man, no matter the name he uses. Look at the pictures. This is a scam for your money and it can break you financially as well as personally. Be we
