Don\u2019t fall in! Unless you are really making a purchase, there is no need to share your credit card information with them.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u2019t be destroyed by a <a title=\"phishing scam\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ripandscam.com\/phishing_scam.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>phish<\/strong><\/a>. Be cautious of any emails from a bank or credit card company asking your account information. Contact the company directly (and not through the unknown email) to confirm the request.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Regularly perform periodic privacy checks. On a regular basis, verify your <a title=\"Internet scams\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ripandscam.com\/internetscams.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Internet<\/strong><\/a> browser and social media site privacy settings to be sure they match your wants. After visiting secure sites, delete the cache of your browser so that no one can view your confidential information.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Do not click on any \u2018unsubscribe\u2019 links in any unknown email, or reply with an unsubscribe message. Doing both will just confirm that the spammer\/scammer is reaching a live address and they will continue to keep you on their contact lists. One is the &#8220;padlock&#8221; icon located at the bottom of your browser window, and the other is &#8220;https&#8221; instead of \u201chttp\u201d in the address bar. These will confirm that the page you are shopping is secure.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0Avoid common passwords like birthdays, addresses or phone numbers \u2013 these are just easy to guess, they\u2019re easy to get with simple searches. Most sites suggested a minimum of eight characters and a mix of numbers, Capital letters, small letters, and symbols.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Don\u2019t use repeat passwords for anything involving sensitive personal information. Fraudsters will run compromised email accounts against financial institutions in case there is a repeat that will grant them access.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Change your passwords regularly.
