He kept sending me different pictures of himself, and something about them just didn\u2019t add up. Then, he told me he was in the hospital, which made me suspicious. I decided to do a little research and discovered that the image he sent\u2014supposedly of himself in the hospital\u2014was actually taken from Pinterest! It belonged to someone else entirely. That was my first major red flag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As our conversations continued, he eventually asked me for money. That\u2019s when I decided to test him. I told him that before I could even consider helping, I needed proof of his treatment\u2014a receipt or any official document from the doctor. Instead of providing anything legitimate, his behavior changed completely. He became defensive, rude, and even started acting strangely, trying to manipulate the situation. That\u2019s when I knew for sure it was all a scam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was clear he had no real medical issue and was only trying to exploit my kindness.
