Clicking on scam links can lead to various negative outcomes. \u201cIt could be a virus that infiltrates your device or scammers pretending to be law enforcement to engage in conversation,\u201d Snyder warned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To verify a potential scam post, check the profile of the person who created it. If they are from another state or country, it\u2019s likely a scam. When in doubt, it\u2019s best to keep scrolling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
These scams can lead to significant financial losses. \u201cPeople work all their lives to build a nest egg, and it\u2019s gone in 25 seconds,\u201d Snyder said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
