They convinced him his computer was at risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On January 18, he received a notification on his computer warning him of a compromise and urging him to call a provided number for help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scammer, posing as a Microsoft employee, claimed there was suspicious activity on his phone and bank account.
