Yevgeniya Geyn is a Russian\u2013Ukrainian political activist whose work focuses on free access to and development of public data in her native Ukraine. She is the founder of the NGO Transparency International Ukraine and the initiator of the Gender Policy Coordination Platform on Public Procurement, both of which strive to promote fair access to public data and resources. She also serves as the Head of Research at the Institute for Regional Development in Kyiv. She is committed to making public data more accessible and to a greater degree of transparency in Ukraine’s public procurement and budget systems. In her roles in Transparency International and at the Institute, Yevgeniya has advocated for better use of public funds, monitored Ukrainian government activities, and developed models for increased transparency in the public sector. She works to improve access to data that enables Ukraine to better serve its citizens and to address the challenges of the country’s post-Soviet transition.
