Legislation agreed in the year 2002 in the month of February make it illegal sending commercial e-mail that are fake or difficult to understand its point of derivation or map-reading information, or contains a false or misleading subject line. The regulation applies if a note is sent from in South Dakota; if the correspondent be on familiar terms with that the receiver is a South Dakota inhabitant; or if the registrant of the domain name restricted in the receiver address will corroborate upon call for that the receiver is a South Dakota inhabitant. Unwanted commercial messages should hold a sticky tag ("ADV:" or "ADV: ADLT") at the opening of the area under discussion
