Scam

A confidence trick, confidence game, or con for short (also known as a scam) is an attempt to intentionally mislead a person or persons (known as the mark or victim) usually with the goal of financial or other gain. The confidence trickster, con man, scam artist, con artist or scammer often works with an accomplice called the shill, who tries to encourage the mark by pretending to believe the trickster.

A Scammer is one who creates or perpetrates scams.

The pre-written e-mails that are sent in response by the scammers to the victims.

Scam Baiting

(Baiting, Scam-Baiting, Scambaiting) Annoying an 419 advance fee fraud scheme e-mail scammer, by showing interest in the scam and then fooling the scammer to perform costly, silly or time-wasting tasks.

Sting

Term used to indicate multiple baiters or a single baiter who uses multiple personas.

Suncrafter

A positive,enthusiastic and cheerful baiter.

Safe Baiting

The act of taking sensible precautions by baiter to prevent the scammer from discovering his true identity by use of fake name,numbers tec.

Swift Code

Unique bank identifier codes approved by the ISO to be used for international wire transfers consisting of normally 8 to 11 characters(i.e.BIC code) that which is often requested from baiters and victims by scammers.
